Many farmers in Yemen depend on the FALAJ system of irrigation. True or False?

I cannot find anything that connects (or does not connect) the falaj irrigation system to the Yemen. The book I was given makes no mention about either. Does anyone know? If so I would really appreciate some references.

I'm from Yemen and FALAJ system is used widespread in the nation. Maybe there are not enough references to this system in websites and stuff, but it is very known in Yemen because there are a lot of mountainous areas. This is a youtube link if you wanna make sure :
