I have two(2) knifes that say ROSTFREI on them, one a Victorinox Swiss Army knife, that my brother brought me from a recent trip to The Ukraine, the other is a knife that looks like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ROSTFREI-STAINLESS-STEEL-57-8-CLOSED-LEATHER-SHEATH_W0QQitemZ260260997692QQcmdZViewItem Except that there is one pin holding the wood sides on, instead of two. So I was wondering if Rostfrei makes a good knife, and what is there affiliation with Victorinox, are they the same company? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.
The Swiss Army Knife is a real one, it says Officier Suisse, on one side of the main blade, and Victorinox, Stainless, Rostferi on the other.
Rostfrei? well my guess is that because it's from ur brother who got it in the ukraine, that it's another name for Stainless Steel. Like the first guy said it actually means rust free. but because it came from another country i would hold onto it, i collect knifes and ones like those dont come by that often
