I can still remember the first time I saw the world underwater. I was 8 and my family had taken a trip to St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands. A short bot trip away was St. John, a private untouched island with water so turquoise-clear you could see the ocean floor even at a 30-ft. depth. We docked on a sugar-white beach, and I put on my first set of snorkeling gear, and paddled out into the calm waters off the coast.
I was immediately in love with what I saw when I put my head under water - the plant life, the abundant schools of fish, the neon colors, and the wonderful silence. That's it, I was hooked.I was an Ocean Dog!
